How this actually updates

We don't write a new horoscope by hand every day — instead, today's Moon sign shown above is computed on every page load from the Moon's mean ecliptic longitude, a standard low-precision astronomical formula (mean position at a fixed epoch, plus its known average daily motion). It ignores the Moon's smaller orbital wobbles, so very close to an actual sign change — within roughly a day either side — it can occasionally be one sign off. That's a real, disclosed limit, not hidden the way an exact-sounding "today's horoscope" often implies. Frequently asked questions

Why don't you write a unique prediction for each sign every day?

Because we can't do that honestly without an ongoing human editorial process writing fresh copy daily, which this site doesn't have yet. Rather than fake that with static text dressed up as "today's reading," we built something that's genuinely different each day: a live astronomical calculation.

How accurate is "today's Moon sign"?

Accurate to the correct sign on almost every day of the year. The formula used is a standard mean-position approximation, not a full ephemeris, so on a day the Moon actually changes sign, the exact transition time can be off by up to roughly a day. Our planned Birth Chart calculator will use a real ephemeris for exact positions — this page intentionally uses a lighter calculation appropriate for a general daily note, not an individual chart.

Is this the same as my personal horoscope?

No — this reflects only your Sun sign's traditional element against today's real Moon sign. A full personal reading would also need your own Moon and Rising signs, which need your exact birth time and place. See our Sun, Moon and Rising sign explainer for that distinction.
